Rental Cars

Memphis International Airport (MEM) is served by nine national rental car companies. They are located in the Ground Transportation Center.

To get to the Ground Transportation Center, upon leaving your airline gate please proceed to the B Terminal and proceed to the lower level (one level below baggage claim). Follow “Rental Cars” signage to the Ground Transportation Center. Once you enter the Ground Transportation Center, signs will point you to your rental car counter.

Wheelchair Assistance

If you need wheelchair assistance between the rental car center and the terminal, you can request assistance at your car rental company’s counter or the vehicle return area. You also may choose to contact the rental car company directly to make arrangements prior to your arrival.

Rental Car Services are located in Ground Transportation Center.

To get to the Ground Transportation Center, where are located, start in Terminal B and go one level below baggage claim, to the lowest level, using an escalator or elevator.

Follow signs that read Economy Parking/Rental Cars.

Picking Up or Dropping Off Rental Car Customers

Please don’t drive personal cars to the rental car area if you are picking up or dropping off a renter. Please park in Economy Parking– free for up to 30 minutes – and take the elevator to level 1 to the rental car counters.

Taxis and Limo Service

Depart from the center commercial drive in front of the Concourse B baggage claim area. Accessible cabs are available upon request. Taxis operate from 6am until one hour after the last flight arrival. View taxi fare information (PDF).

Service for luxury limousines must be prearranged and coordinated with the companies offering service to airport passengers. Limos use the center commercial drive.

Hotel Shuttle Buses

Many hotels offer shuttle services to and from Memphis International Airport (MEM). In the baggage claim area near the exits, look for overhead signs indicating the location for shuttles.

Complimentary Shuttle for Fixed Base Operators (FBO)

Signature Flight Support and Wilson Air Center both offer complimentary shuttle service to and from their facilities to Memphis International Airport (MEM). When arriving at Memphis International Airport, use the baggage claim exits to meet FBO shuttles.

Public Transportation – Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA)

• Memphis International Airport has a stop located on the new inner commercial drive on the baggage level. Look for the bright orange MATA Bus signs to direct you to the pick up area.
