Frontier Airlines launches nonstop flights between Memphis and Atlanta

MEMPHIS, TENN. (April 14, 2016) – Frontier Airlines is launching its inaugural nonstop flights today between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Frontier will offer the flights three times weekly: on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The airline will utilize a 150-seat Airbus 319 aircraft for the flight. Tickets can be purchased at www.flyfrontier.com.
MEM has announced four new flights in 2016, after 12 new flights were added in 2015.
“Atlanta has long been a desired destination in terms of adding competition,” said Pace Cooper, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis Shelby-County Airport Authority (MSCAA). “We have heard from the public that they want more options and affordable flights to Atlanta, and Frontier has responded. I applaud our MEM team’s effort to bring about this addition and I strongly encourage our community to support Frontier in its effort make this link to Atlanta successful.”
Atlanta to Memphis
• Departs: 10:50 a.m.
• Arrives: 11:15 a.m.
Memphis to Atlanta
• Departs: Noon
• Arrives: 2:25 p.m.
Frontier announced the MEM-ATL service in January, and also offers nonstop flights between MEM and Denver International Airport (DEN).
