Southwest to add nonstop MEM-BWI flight for summer season

SECOND DAILY FLIGHT TO BALTIMORE STARTS IN JUNE
MEMPHIS, TN – Southwest Airlines has announced that it is adding a seasonal second daily non-stop flight between Memphis International Airport and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) to its summer schedule, which begins June 7, 2015. The additional flight will be the second seasonal addition for Southwest in 2015 and is scheduled to conclude in August. The airline will add a seasonal second frequency to Orlando International Airport (MCO) in March 2015. Southwest also provides nonstop service to Chicago Midway, Houston Hobby, and Tampa.
Scott Brockman, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, said, “The Washington, DC area is a popular destination for our passengers, so we are pleased that Southwest Airlines has chosen to add this additional summer service.”
Dan Landson of Southwest Airlines said, “the additional flight to BWI is aimed at handling the expected demand during the peak summer travel period."
