The UrbanArt Commission (UAC) is pleased to announce five new commission opportunities for site-specific art installations throughout the re-imagined Concourse B at the Memphis International Airport. These five commissions are part of a $1.5 million art program that will contribute to the modernization and reimagination of the terminal at Memphis International Airport.
The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has updated its Strategic Overview, a focused, comprehensive plan that outlines the organization’s goals between 2020-2024. The plan will act as a road map for Memphis International Airport (MEM) and MSCAA’s two general aviation airports for the next five years, ensuring improvement across all operational facets.
Asylon, a Philadelphia based security drone robotics company that designs, manufactures and integrates software and hardware, is the latest addition to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority’s (MSCAA’s) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Integration Pilot Program (IPP) team.
In its role with the Memphis UAS IPP, Asylon will work with FedEx Express and other participants to support perimeter surveillance of logistics warehouses, as well as foreign object debris (FOD) detection on the cargo ramp during day and night operations.
