    Southwest Airlines moves up launch date for nonstop Memphis-Phoenix service to November 5

    Southwest Airlines will launch its new nonstop service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on Thursday, November 5.

    The service, which was announced in May, ran from July 26 until August 10 and was scheduled to launch full-time on December 17. The flight will operate four times a week, with daily flights on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday.

    Vacation Express to resume seasonal nonstop Memphis-Cancun service in 2021

    Vacation Express has announced it will resume its summer nonstop weekly service between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Cancun International Airport (CUN) in May 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour operator was unable to offer the service this year. 

    The flights will depart on Sundays from May 23-August 1, allowing passengers to enjoy six-night vacation packages at a variety of resorts in the Cancun and Riviera Maya areas.

    Includes “Stable” outlook from Moody’s Investor Service and KBRA

    Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has received updates from financial rating agencies Moody’s Investor’s Service, Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) and Fitch Ratings.
    Moody’s assigned an “A2” to rating to MSCAA’s forthcoming bonds and affirmed its “A2” rating on outstanding bonds, while KBRA assigned an “A+” rating to the forthcoming bonds while affirming the same rating on MSCAA’s outstanding bonds. Fitch Ratings assigned an “A” rating to the forthcoming bonds while affirming the “A” rating on the outstanding bonds.
